Robin Hood

We welcomed M&M Theatre productions back into school today, as they performed the classic tale of Robin Hood for an audience of merry men and women. Another great performance and great hook for our writing work over the next couple of weeks.

Conductors or Insulators?

As we come to the end of our science unit on Electricity, this week the children have been investigating conductors and insulators. The idea was to set up a working circuit and find and test different objects around the classroom to see if they were a conductor or an insulator. Great investigation work.

Year 4 Reading Cafe

Year 4 had their reading cafe this morning, which was a great opportunity for parents and carers to come into school and spend a bit of time sharing the love of reading, over a cuppa and a biscuit or two.

Thank you very much to the parents and carers who came into school to share the reading cafe experience.

Road Safety with Randini

Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on a British road and each of these tragedies is preventable.

Road Safety Week runs from November 18th to November 24th. The week, organised by ‘Brake’, a road safety charity, is an annual event and the biggest road safety awareness event in the UK.

To fit in with the Road Safety week, Gatten and Lake welcomed Mr Randini into school this morning to talk to the children about keeping safe on and near to roads, in his own unique, magical way.

East Dene – Day 2

Another fun-packed day at East Dene. This morning we headed down to Monks Bay to explore the rock pools. The children found some amazing creatures hiding beneath rocks. This afternoon was all about team-building and the children working together to overcome some physical obstacles and problems. Tonight we have some fun and games on the big field before bedtime.
