Light-up cards

Year 4 worked very hard in the last few days of term, in pulling together all of their knowledge of electronics to produce a light-up card. They used their knowledge of electrical circuits to complete one, which would, when a certain part of the card was pressed, allow a light to glow on the front of their cards. It proved a little tricky a times, as the copper tape was very delicate and would tear very easily. The children persisted in order to complete their designs and everyone managed to achieve their aim. Everyone was very pleased with their efforts and rightly so, well done Year 4 .

Electrical circuits

What a busy afternoon we had in Year 4, making electrical circuits. The children had to use previous work and plans in order to make a complete circuit using wires, batteries and light bulbs. The lesson focused on adding switches to our circuits and everyone was able to add a switch and make the bulb light up. Great job Year 4!
