Amazing Rainforest Insects

The children finally finished off their arty 3D insects, which have been inspired by our topic work related to the Rainforests. I’ll think you’ll agree they’re amazing…and a little bit creepy 🙂

Ventnor Town Study

Year 4 walked their legs off today. As part of our theme work we are looking at the local town of Ventnor, it’s history and it’s geography. The children trekked up the downs to visit what remains of the old Radar Base and pillboxes, before heading down through the valley past the old railway station and through town to the beach. It was a little bit windy at the top of Wroxall Down and the children did really well to walk such a long distance up and down hills. We shall be doing lots more work back at school, about some of the historic things we passed along the way.
