R.E. – Divali

This week year 4 have been learning about Divali. They have looked at and designed their own Rangoli patterns with symmetry in maths. They have also learned about Menhdi designs which are traditionally drawn on hands, we know them more as Henna designs. The children drew around their own hands and designed some of their own patterns. In DT they made Diva lamps and painted them.

I hope everyone has a lovely half term and I will see you all in a week.

Design Technology

Year 4 all took part in making a class wheatsheaf. This involved using a varied number of skills and working together to achieve this. They did a very good job of this and it is currently in the oven baking. It will be in the classroom on display next week for parent consultation evenings. Please do come and have a look.
