Year 4 Bike-a-bility

We’ve had a really active week this week, which continued on Wednesday morning with a visit from Nicky, from ‘Shift-it’, to deliver some brilliant bike-a-bility for the year fours.

Active Travel Smoothie Bike

Year 4 had the pleasure of Nicky and her smoothie bike this morning, and were treated to a morning smoothie, albeit with a bit of hard cycling. The bike has a dynamo attached to a blender and with the magic of pedal power the children were able to make themselves a fruit smoothie.

Safer Internet Day 2019

The theme for this year’s Safer Internet Day in the UK was ‘Our internet, our choice: understanding consent in a digital world’. In year four we have been looking at how to keep ourselves safe on the internet with the emphasis on consent and making sure we give or have permission before sharing information with others. Children took part in online questionnaires and created digital posters about keeping safe online as well as posters to share with the Key Stage 1 children.

Peter Pan Pops in to Play…

Today we were treated to a performance by the M&M players of ‘J.M. Barrie’s’ Peter Pan. It was a brilliant performance with some great acting, songs and lots of audience participation. The children use the performance as a hook into their writing for the next few weeks.
